Guineas Associates were appointed by an Irish event cleaning company to assist them to establish their business in the UK, tendering for new contracts, producing Company policy and procedure documentation, assisting with production of business plan and strategic plan, developing UK management team and setting up UK base.


The company a very successful business in Ireland were finding it difficult to establish themselves in UK so Guineas Associates were asked to utilise their knowledge of UK event market to assist with the process. In addition to produce all policy and procedure documentation required for PQQ and tender process and to assist in discussions to agree strategic plan and business plan for UK business.


The key tasks can be summarised as follows:-

  • Contact all known contacts in UK event market place to introduce them to client providing them with details of the benefits client can
    bring to venue.
  • Establish a UK database of all event venues with key contact details, which included racecourses, stadiums, music festivals, county shows,
    horse shows, conference centres, theatres, museums and councils.
  • Produce all policy documentation required for PQQ and tenders and identify tender opportunities and complete and submit tender.
  • Produce format for company newsletter, all introduction documentation and update all social media sites, regularly submitting news items.
  • Identify UK General Manager for business and assist with induction into business.
  • Produced UK strategic and business plan for client.

The tasks ensured that all suitable venues in the UK were aware of the benefits that client could provide their business and provided an ongoing communication channel through the distribution of the company newsletter. Client has a workable template for all tenders and complete set of policies and procedures, which the business has adapted. The UK team was established and understood the strategic direction for the business and the result being that the UK turnover will have quadrupled in 2011.
