Guineas Associates were appointed by a fellow consultant to assist with a review of the operation of an International food brand within a UK holiday park operator’s sites in order to ensure brand compliance and maximise operational and sales opportunities.


The sites were on the east coast from Berwick on Tweed to Hastings and the client was having difficulty to ensure brand compliance, which was creating difficulties in relationship with International brand. The sites operated from Mid March to November and the role was to conduct site audits ensuring brand compliance and coach team on shortfalls in performance, whilst ensuring that there were sufficient staffing levels, gross profit margins were being achieved and all brand incentives were being correctly applied.


The key tasks can be summarised as follows:-

  1. Review all sites operations on a weekly basis conducting a thorough brand audit to ensure brand compliance and provide coaching on shortfalls.
    Ensuring that when brand official audits conducted the result was above 85%.
  2. Ensure that gross profit margins were being achieved and conduct thorough investigation of shortfall, providing a report to site management.
  3. Review staffing levels to ensure that sufficient staff recruited and on rota to meet levels of business. Also ensuring that staff development process
    happening to create more shift leaders.
  4. Ensuring all brand merchandising correct and current.

At the end of the year the operations achieved an overall average across all sites of above 85% ensuring that the brand gave authority for the development of further sites at other parks and the unit managers had developed a greater brand affinity and developed as managers.
